Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
HomeLaxy Real Estate LLC ("HomeLaxy," "we," "us") provides tools for people who want to search for homes, list a home for sale, and transact directly. This policy explains what we collect through homelaxy.com and our related services (the "Service"), why, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers on the Service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
3. Identity verification, biometric information and Stripe
Identity verification is performed by Stripe Identity. When you verify, you are sent to a page hosted by Stripe where you submit a government-issued ID and a selfie. Stripe compares the selfie to the photo on your ID, which involves creating a scan of your face geometry. That scan is a biometric identifier. Stripe collects and processes it, and your ID images, under its own privacy policy and retention practices. HomeLaxy does not receive, possess or store your ID images, selfie or face scan. Stripe tells us only whether verification succeeded or failed. Stripe's policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
Consent. Before we start verification we ask you to confirm your consent to this collection by Stripe, and we record the date and time of your consent and the version of this policy you agreed to. We do not start verification without it. If you decline, you can still search homes, but you cannot list a home, request a tour or make an offer.
Purpose and retention. The only purpose is to confirm that you are the person on your ID so that listings, tours and offers come from verified people. We do not sell, lease, trade or otherwise profit from biometric information, and we do not disclose it, because we do not hold it. Stripe keeps verification data only as long as needed for that purpose or as the law requires, under its own retention schedule. To ask that your verification data be deleted, email support@homelaxy.com and we will request deletion from Stripe to the extent permitted by law. We keep our own record of the consent (timestamp and policy version) and your verified or failed status for as long as needed to show compliance and prevent fraud.
4. Property data
Property search results come from third-party data providers, currently RealtyAPI (which aggregates listing data from sources such as Realtor.com). When you search, the address or location you enter is sent to that provider to retrieve results. We do not send your name, email or phone number with search queries.
5. How we use information
- Provide, operate and improve the Service.
- Verify identity and publish listings from verified owners.
- Contact you about your verification, listing, tour request or offer.
- Protect the Service and its users, including fraud and abuse prevention and rate limiting.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
6. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only:
- Publicly, for listing details you submit once the listing is live. Your name, email and phone number are not displayed on listings.
- With service providers that run the Service on our behalf: Stripe (identity verification), Cloudflare (application hosting, database and security), Vercel (website hosting), and our property data provider (RealtyAPI). They may process data only to provide their services to us.
- For legal reasons, if required by law, subpoena or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety and property of HomeLaxy, our users or others.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of assets, in which case the information would remain subject to this policy.
Your browser also contacts third parties to load the page itself: Google Fonts (fonts) and cdnjs.cloudflare.com (scripts). Those requests necessarily reveal your IP address to those providers.
7. Retention
We keep verification records, listing data and related records for as long as your listing or account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your information (see Section 9); we may retain what the law requires or what is needed to protect against fraud and abuse.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access tokens that are stored only in hashed form, input validation and rate limiting. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, California law and similar state laws), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access or correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of the sale or targeted-advertising uses of your data (we do neither). To make a request, email support@homelaxy.com from the address you used with us. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and you may appeal a denial by replying to our response.
Because listing details are public, removing a listing from HomeLaxy does not remove copies others may have made or that search engines may have cached.
10. Children
The Service is for adults 18 and older. If you believe a minor has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International users
The Service is operated in the United States and intended for U.S. property transactions. If you use it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version here and change the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you.
